To be present.
This is the time of my life. I know it.
This is the time that I'll look back on one day with fondness and longing.
The generations before me say it often: "You'll miss these days", "They grow up so fast", "Hard, it is. But I miss it."

Scene I overheard this morning:
Ryan says "Lauryn, you can't take your baby doll to school." She says, "Yes I can, I asked Mommy and she said I could." He replies, "Was she on her phone? She doesn't really listen when she's on her phone. She just says 'uh-huh.'"
OUCH.
