Happy New Year all! If you've got your index cards at hand & chosen your verse for Jan 1st, hats off to you! Dan & I have a decided that he'll choose the verse for the 1sts of the month & I'll choose for the 15th.
Here is our Jan 1st:
Luke 1:46-47 (NIV)
"My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,"
I often use www.biblegateway.com for scripture look-up & almost always for quoting scripture online. Easy searching by topic, reference, etc. & translating into different versions, then it's copy & paste.
We're excited about what God has in store for us this year. Namely, a HUGE accomplishment for Dan should come in a few short months when he earns his PhD. Oh, God is good! You may know it is a primary reason why we find ourselves here in Texas. Just a couple of years ago when we were brainstorming of ways to earn enough $ to support the cost of life as well as the PhD, God had a different plan than the best that we came up with & we packed up & moved out here. I was pregnant with Carter & Dan was ready to take on his new job as professor & PhD student...tuition paid & salary raised! God is so good!
2009 is greeted with 4 healthy Texas Poulsens & met with great expectation for what is in store. "The Lord has done great things for us & we are filled with joy" Ps. 126:3(that may well be my 15th choice!)
Beth Moore has requested that fellow scripture memorizers post their choices on her blog. There are over a thousand posted already. If you wish, post yours here & we can do this together with people we know.
MANY blessings to you & yours!
