hope. grace. rest.

I'm going to go ahead & claim these scriptures for my life, most specifically for the upcoming honor of leading worship for the Women's Conference. I immediately, though pressed to get on the phone & start making things happen, was impressed to go before the Lord. Give the task at hand to Him. Get on His page, ask Him to expand my abilities where needed & to bless those He's already given to me. It's His! In turn, I heard Matt 11:20-30

"Come to me all you who are weary & burdened.
Take my yoke upon you and LEARN FROM ME, for I am gentle & humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy & my burden is light."

I believe this is what will happen through worship at the conference. The women that will fill those seats will get in their cars to come, after caring for kids & husbands, after stressful work weeks, after getting a harsh diagnosis. They'll have spent the registration fee out of plenty & out of need. They will come expecting & believing that God will meet their needs; re-fuel them for what's ahead, renew their hope, refresh their spirits.

I love what Isaiah 40:29-31 says to we women, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run & not grow weary, they will walk & not faint." AMEN!!

Heb 4 reminds us, "We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one that has been tempted in every way, just as we are. Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence..."

Hope. Grace. Rest.
I receive it! Take it...
